Goldenhost

Address

Domains and SSL

Every app gets an HTTPS address. Paid apps can use a domain you already own.

Default address

Paid apps are served at your-app.apps.goldenhour265.com. Demo apps use your-app.demo.apps.goldenhour265.com and cannot use a custom domain.

Connect your domain

Open the project's Domains tab, add the hostname, then create a DNS record at your domain provider:

DNS
app.example.com CNAME apps.goldenhour265.com
www.example.com CNAME apps.goldenhour265.com

An apex domain (for example example.com without www) needs an ALIAS/ANAME record, or a provider that supports flattening. If yours does not, use a subdomain.

SSL

HTTPS certificates are issued automatically after DNS points at Goldenhost. It can take a few minutes for DNS to propagate and the certificate to appear.

If the domain shows a certificate warning, wait for DNS propagation and confirm the record type is correct. Do not switch back to HTTP.

Ports

Only HTTP traffic is routed. Expose one internal port and let Goldenhost terminate HTTPS. Do not publish host ports from your app.

Troubleshooting a new domain

  • • 404: confirm the domain is attached to a running project.
  • • 502: the app is not answering on its internal port.
  • • Certificate warning: DNS has not propagated yet, or the record is wrong.
  • • Apex not resolving: use a subdomain or an ALIAS/ANAME record.
